Highland Valley Copper is an open pit operation, located in south central British Columbia Canada. Highland Valley Copper produces copper and molybdenum concentrates. The processing plant uses autogenous and semi-autogenous grining and floatation to produce metal in concenrate from the ore. Teck has a 97.5% interest in the mine. Teck has committed to responsible resource development. For us, this is embodied by three core principles: Safety, Environment and Community.
Safety: We believe it is possible to operate without injuries. This begins with our Courageous Safety Leadership program and our primary vision of: “Everyone Going Home Safe and Healthy Every Day.”
Environment: We work hard to protect the environment and always strive to act with care and sensitivity towards our surroundings. Our people take this responsibility seriously and are dedicated to environmental stewardship.
Community: We are committed to community engagement and investment in the places where we live and work. We aim to develop open, honest and respectful relationships and partnerships with the communities in which we explore, construct and operate.
